Beautiful set of two heavy, geometrically cut crystal block vases made using the iconic Italian 'Sommerso' technique. The set consists of a vase with a deep cobalt blue core and a vase with an atmospheric petrol/teal (sea green) core, both encased in a thick layer of clear, faceted crystal glass. Although the original paper labels are no longer present, these vases exude the absolute top quality and style of well-known Mid-Century Murano glassware (such as the designs by Alessandro Mandruzzato). Thanks to their sleek, minimalist design and thick, heavy base, they beautifully catch the light. Style: Mid-Century Modern / Italian design. Technique: Sommerso (colored glass in clear crystal). Color: Cobalt Blue and Petrol / Teal / Sea Green. Condition: In beautiful vintage condition without major damage. The vases are wonderfully clear. (Any minor signs of use consistent with age).
