Product description
Beautiful set of two authentic glass demijohns (basket bottles) from Italy.
The largest bottle is a VEBAU 54L in clear/transparent glass (marked in the bottom). This heavy specimen (approx. 7.1 kg) is mouth-blown and has charming irregularities and air bubbles that emphasize the craft. With its generous size of approx. 58 cm high and 37 × 37 cm wide, this is a real eye-catcher in any interior.
The second bottle is a green basket bottle of about 10 liters, also mouth-blown and in very good condition. Height approx. 38 cm, width 27 × 27 cm, weight approx. 1.9 kg. Its dark green color makes it a beautiful contrast to the large bottle.
Both bottles are in excellent condition (no cracks or chips) and come from a period when these types of bottles were originally used for transport and storage of wine or oil. Nowadays they are loved as decorative objects in modern, country and industrial living styles.
Together they form a unique and stylish set, perfect as a corner filler, on a sideboard or windowsill.
