We are offering a set of two vintage 1960s Aldo Jacober-style Trieste caned folding chairs. As you can see in this photo gallery (from photo 16 onwards), we also have a set of two others in the same style, albeit slightly different. The price for the two together is €125. A separate listing has been created for this item. Perhaps you would like the complete set of four? Please contact us via message. Dimensions vary slightly, always approximately +/- 0.5 cm. All chairs, except the brown one, are oil-finished and in used condition with signs of wear. They can be shipped; please contact us for more information. Currently, the option is for Courier delivery, so another option is available. We'll let you know, including the cost.
Background information and explanation: Aldo Jacober designed various items and products for various Italian companies in the 1960s and 1970s, the designs of which have even ended up in various museums. The Trieste folding chair was "almost certainly" designed by him for Alberto Bazzani, an Italian company. Many different designs are offered, with more or fewer slats on top, thicker or thinner, and even with webbing seats and rounded backrests. We don't know whether these can be fully attributed to the designer and the aforementioned company. Nevertheless, you are buying two beautiful chairs with a story, organically designed with a comfortable seat and a finely recessed backrest.
