Product description
Striking spherical lamps in the iconic Space Age design of the 1970s, originally distributed by Globus. The combination of ochre-painted sheet steel and a high-gloss chrome-plated sphere embodies the futuristic design language of this era in a particularly compact yet effective way. The spherical lamp bodies are elaborately chrome-plated – a technically demanding process that gives the surface its mirror-like, almost sculptural presence. The sphere is firmly clamped in the sturdy, relatively heavy sheet metal frame and can be adjusted within the holder to the desired direction. This creates a flexibly controllable, atmospheric light. The frame has a small opening on the back, allowing the lamp to be wall-mounted as an alternative. This makes the model suitable as a table lamp as well as a compact wall or accent light.
Condition: Used, but in good overall condition with minor signs of age-related wear such as fine scratches and minimal paint imperfections. These are discreet and hardly noticeable in the overall appearance. The cables have been replaced.
