Pair of similar antique Japanese Imari plates (Arita porcelain) from the late Meiji period (approx. 1890 - 1910).
Features and Decoration
Design: A central floral bouquet in a vase, surrounded by a pattern of deep cobalt blue and iron-red images.
Shape: Traditional scalloped rim.
Back: Typical hand-painted blue branch motif and an unglazed foot ring.
Condition and Dimensions
Condition: In good antique condition, minor signs of use. No hairline cracks or fissures. The colors have remained exceptionally vibrant.
Diameter: approx. 21 and 22 cm.
