About the designer
Karl Heinz Bergmiller (1931–2020) was a German architect who emigrated to Brazil, where he became a significant figure in modernist design. Known for his architectural projects as well as his furniture, Bergmiller’s work for Escriba blends European rationalism with Brazilian material warmth. His designs stand as timeless examples of international modernism adapted to local craftsmanship.
