This set of two floor lamps was designed by the French ceramist François Chatain. The lamps are characterized by their sculptural ceramic bases and striking decorative cords with tassels, giving them a distinctive and theatrical character.
The lamps rest on a slender, black metal frame that visually elevates the heavy ceramic form. One lamp is finished in a soft cream color, while the other features a subtle green tint; both come with matching shades and decorative cords. The original François Chatain brand sticker is present on the socket, confirming their authenticity.
Both lamps are in very neat condition, with the ceramic bodies and fabric shades well preserved. The original finish and characteristic glaze demonstrate the quality of French craftsmanship.
These floor lamps look excellent in an eclectic or Hollywood Regency interior. They work well as an asymmetrical pair in a spacious living room or as striking accents on either side of a large sofa.
