The iconic Eclisse table lamp, designed in 1965 by Vico Magistretti for Artemide, is considered one of the most famous Italian design classics of the Space Age era. Its characteristic feature is the spherical construction with a hemispherical base and a rotating internal reflector, which allows for stepless adjustment of the light output – similar to a solar eclipse, hence the name Eclisse. This particular example is crafted in the classic yellow lacquered metal finish, a rare color. The vibrant hue underscores the playful, futuristic character of the design and makes the lamp a striking accent on a sideboard, nightstand, or shelf. The original stamp on the underside confirms its provenance: Artemide Milano – modello Eclisse – design Vico Magistretti – made in Italy.
Condition: Good vintage condition with age-related wear. Minor scratches and minimal paint marks on the surface. Function tested and fully functional.
