This three-piece lighting set, manufactured by Gebrüder Kaiser Leuchten in West Germany circa 1970, is a striking example of the Space Age aesthetic. Attributed to the design language of Richard Essig, the set consists of a pendant lamp and two matching table lamps, characterized by their spherical shades of heavy pressed glass.
The glass spheres feature a richly textured crystal-like relief with matte oval accents, creating an atmospheric play of light when the lamps are lit. The combination of transparent relief glass and high-gloss chrome fittings gives the set a luxurious appearance. The pendant lamp has a height of 48 cm and a width and depth of 31 cm. The table lamps are each 31 cm high, with a width and depth of 16 cm. The original manufacturer's sticker is present.
The lamps are in very good original condition, with the glass completely intact and the chrome showing minimal signs of use. The original parts have been retained and the set has been tested and is working. This complete set from the heyday of German design lighting is a stylish addition to a vintage, mid-century, or Space Age interior. The matching design creates a harmonious ensemble for various living spaces.
