Superb Bohemian blown glass vase attributed to the Czech designer Jan Beránek for the renowned Škrdlovice glassworks.
This piece is distinguished by its exquisite craftsmanship, its free-flowing organic form, and its magnificent emerald green gradient with bluish undertones. The undulating neck and thick walls attest to the true artistry of mouth-blown glass.
The creations of Škrdlovice are now recognized for their originality and quality of execution. They occupy an important place in the history of Czechoslovakian art glass of the 1960s and 1970s.
The vase makes a striking decorative statement, whether displayed alone or as part of a collection of European art glass.
