Large German pendant lamp by Schmahl & Schulz from the 1960s/1970s.
A distinctive Space Age design featuring a wide aluminium body, a central textured-glass shade and two rows of transparent decorative tubes.
The three light points illuminate both the central glass shade and the outer part of the lamp, creating an atmospheric effect with light and reflections.
The lamp is complete with: – aluminium body,
– central textured-glass shade,
– complete set of transparent decorative tubes,
– metal mounting components,
– three lamp holders,
– suspension system and ceiling canopy.
Good original vintage condition, with signs of use consistent with its age. The aluminium shows small scratches, localised marks and light signs of wear. These are clearly shown in the photographs.
There are three very small microchips along the edge of the glass shade. They are difficult to see even from close range and are shown in the detailed photograph.
The photographs show the actual item being offered. The photographs showing the lamp fully assembled were taken before it was dismantled. After receipt, the lamp was not reassembled or electrically tested.
