This Scheurich ceramic vase from the mid-century era features the striking "Strawberry" design. The design is characterized by a textured, dark brown surface accented with vibrant red, teardrop-shaped glaze elements, giving it a distinctive, tactile quality.
Made of ceramic in West Germany, this piece measures 52 cm in height. The combination of the rough, porous base glaze and the glossy red inlays demonstrates the experimental glazing techniques characteristic of West German ceramic production of this period. The base bears the corresponding model number and origin mark.
The vase is in very good condition, retaining its original color intensity and structural integrity. The glaze displays the patina typical of this type of ceramic, further emphasizing its authentic vintage character.
The vase is in very good, age-appropriate vintage condition with no subsequent damage (no chips, no hairline cracks). There are a few tiny, circular, light-colored spots on the prominent red glaze (see detail photo). These are expressly not subsequent impact damage, but rather original firing defects typical of the 1960s/70s production (broken glaze bubbles/pinholes). They underscore the authentic, handcrafted character of this Fat Lava classic.
This sculptural object is ideally suited as a standalone decorative element in a modern or mid-century inspired interior. It adds a strong splash of color and complements both minimalist and eclectic living concepts.
