Elegant Scandinavian tallboy dating from the 1940s–50s, crafted in mahogany with a deep, vibrant grain that creates refined light effects across the surface. The shaped brass handles, softly curved and carefully modelled, introduce a precious material contrast with the warmth of the wood. The drawers are spacious and well constructed, sliding smoothly and featuring neatly finished interiors, some with original dividers that reflect the functional attention typical of the period. This piece belongs to the post-war Nordic design context, when fine cabinetmaking traditions merged with a sober, elegant aesthetic—still touched by late Art Deco influences yet already moving toward Scandinavian modernism.
