Scandinavian elm bookcase from the 1930s–40s with open shelves, a drop-front desk, hidden compartments, and a lower cabinet with doors and drawers.
Elegant proportions and the bright grain of elm shape a Nordic bookcase from the 1930s–40s: minimal in spirit, rich in thoughtful storage. The upper section combines open shelving with a drop-front that opens into a writing surface, revealing extra shelves and small document drawers. The lower cabinet has two hinged doors, a shelf, and interior drawers. A clear balance of restrained aesthetics and functionalism, at the heart of Mid-Century Scandinavian design.
