An iconic piece of Italian postmodernism: the “Tour Quadrato” coffee table, designed by Gae Aulenti in 1980 for Fontana Arte.
This sculptural table consists of a thick 19 mm tempered glass top, supported by four glass wheels and chrome-plated steel holders. The square version (100 × 100 cm) is rarer than the more common rectangular variant and is rarely offered worldwide.
The design is a masterful combination of architectural precision and industrial elegance: transparent, graphic, and completely timeless.
Condition:
Very good vintage condition – No chips or cracks on the top, only a few light superficial scratches visible in direct light. The chrome is still beautifully shiny. Original rubber around the wheels is somewhat dried out but intact. One wheel is chipped.
