An iconic table/mantel clock by the East German brand Ruhla Electric, manufactured in the 1970s.
A uniquely minimalist and elegant design in the Mid-Century Modern (MCM) style. The geometrically shaped case is crafted from wood in a beautiful, light shade with natural grain, and rests on graceful legs characteristic of the era. The focal point is a large, easy-to-read off-white dial, protected by a brass frame with glass. The modern, simple black hands, contrasting with the red seconds hand, and the distinctive, large numeral 12 on the dial are striking. The dial features the original Ruhla Electric model designation and the inscription "Made in Germany."
Important technical information: The clock's movement has been replaced, ensuring it now operates flawlessly, quietly, and keeps time with exceptional precision. The original case and dial have been preserved in pristine condition.
