A round teak dining table of Scandinavian make, from the 1960s. It is the kind of piece that feels effortless in a room: a clean circular top in warm, well-figured teak, a softly rounded edge, and four tapered solid-wood legs that keep the whole thing light on its feet.
At 107.5 cm across, it is a compact round table that seats four comfortably. The round shape makes it easy to live with — no corners to work around, sociable to sit at, and just as happy in the centre of a room as tucked against a wall. A good fit for a smaller dining space or an apartment where a big rectangular table would feel like too much.
One thing worth knowing: the table was originally an extendable model, but the extension leaves are no longer there. It is used as a fixed round table — which, if you are after a permanent round shape rather than an occasional large one, is exactly what you want.
