1960s round extendable teak table designed by Svante Skogh for Seffle Möbelfabrik, with original maker’s mark.
Elegant extendable round teak table designed by Svante Skogh and produced by the Swedish manufacturer Seffle Möbelfabrik AB in the 1960s, as confirmed by the original maker’s mark stamped underneath the top. Equipped with one extension leaf, the table extends to a maximum length of 175 cm, easily transforming from a compact round table into a larger dining surface. One half of the tabletop shows a slight discoloration of the wood caused by age, a natural trace of time and use. Svante Skogh developed this model within the production of Seffle Möbelfabrik during the late 1950s and throughout the 1960s, when the Swedish manufacturer became known for refined and functional furniture aimed at the international market. Skogh’s work is characterized by harmonious proportions, restrained lines and careful material selection, perfectly reflecting the aesthetics of Scandinavian modernism.
