This striking vase is a characteristic example of West German ceramics, produced by Roth Keramik in the 1960s. The design stands out due to the expressive fat lava technique, a style that has become synonymous with the experimental ceramic production of that decade.
The vase is crafted from ceramic and displays a strong contrast between the rough, black, porous texture and the smooth, bright red glazed surfaces.
