This is the Quelle Fête Oeuf by the Dutch design collective Rotganzen. It takes the familiar form of a disco ball and reimagines it as a melting, slumped object, capturing a sense of post-party melancholy and surrealist charm. Constructed with a core covered in small, reflective glass mirror tiles, the piece is designed to rest on the edge of a shelf or surface, creating the illusion that it is slowly dripping downward. The silver mirrored finish catches and scatters light, staying true to its nightclub origins while subverting the classic spherical shape. This specific piece is numbered 90 out of an edition of 100 and comes complete with its original presentation box. In perfect condition, the sculpture retains all its original tiles and structural integrity. The reflective surface is clean and bright, and the original Rotganzen sticker is present on the underside. This piece works brilliantly as a focal point on a bookshelf, mantelpiece, or console table. It adds a touch of playful, contemporary Dutch design to modern or eclectic interiors, serving as both a sculptural object and a conversation starter.
