River Blues & Forest Blues
Diptych on wooden panels.
Music cannot be captured, but sometimes it leaves a trace behind.
These two panels were created while listening to blues music. Rhythms, sounds, and pauses translated into a landscape of color and form. Not painted as a representation, but as an experience.
River Blues flows in layers of blue. Like water seeking its own path, undulating between stillness and movement. The color tones carry the rhythm of the blues just as a river carries its flow.
Forest Blues breathes the forest. Green shades, earthy accents, and light nuances form an organic rhythm reminiscent of leaves, tree trunks, and the whispers of nature.
The tonal rhythms are literally burned into the wood and form the basis of both compositions. Thus, the panels carry not only color but also the memory of sound.
Finished with a protective coating layer. Titles and signature are burned into the back of the panels.
