The Les Merciers gallery presents this office chair from the "Sapper" series, designed by Richard Sapper in 1979 and produced by Knoll in the early 1980s. It is one of the first executive chairs to incorporate advanced ergonomic principles while maintaining a minimalist and luxurious aesthetic. Ideal for structuring a contemporary office with a piece of history.
■ MATERIALS AND ENGINEERING
The design is characterized by a shell housing generous cushions upholstered in high-quality black leather. This specific upholstery provides targeted body support. The five-star base and armrest structure are made of black lacquered metal, offering a highly elegant monochrome silhouette. Swivel and height-adjustable model.
■ CONDITION REPORT
This piece is presented in beautiful original vintage condition. The lift and swivel mechanism is functional. The metal frame shows slight signs of wear. The black leather is deeply conditioned; it displays a natural patina with slight marks of age and wear (visible in the photo of the seat), attesting to its authenticity. No tears.
