An iconic armchair, this Concorde lounge chair was designed in 1966 by Pierre Paulin for Artifort. The chair was originally designed for the waiting areas of the British-French supersonic aircraft Concorde. A simple and sleek lounge chair on a heavy metal sled base.
In the Netherlands, the lounge chair was nicknamed "the Dewey" (the Dewclaw), because of its shape, which resembles a duck's beak.
These two examples have new interiors and have been (very neatly) reupholstered in a mottled blue/purple wool fabric. In good condition with minor signs of wear on the base. The armchairs are offered separately and are priced individually.
