Created by Renata Minuto for Studio Casarini in Savona in the 1990s, this evocative fused glass artwork was specially commissioned for Dr. Mantero, chief hand surgeon. A piece of strong symbolic value, translating gesture, touch and human sensitivity into material form.
The composition is developed on a shaped transparent glass panel, crossed by a large circular form in warm earthy tones, within which overlapping handprints appear in delicate relief. In the foreground, a textured amber glass hand emerges boldly from the surface, creating a refined interplay of transparency, texture and depth.
The artwork combines the lightness of glass with the expressive richness of artisanal fusion techniques, with inclusions, granular details and tonal variations that make every element unique. The original black metal stand enhances its vertical presence and transparency, turning it into a sculptural statement piece of remarkable charm.
A unique work of important decorative and narrative value, capable of telling a story of art, place and distinguished private commission.
