Remco Wouter Campert (The Hague, July 28, 1929 – Amsterdam, July 4, 2022) was a Dutch poet, columnist, and writer of short stories and novels. He was part of the literary movement of the Fifties. In 1976, he won the P.C. Hooft Prize for his poetry, and in 2015, the Prize of Dutch Literature for his literary oeuvre. His father was the poet Jan Campert, author of, among other works, the poem "Het lied der achttien dooden" (The Song of the Eighteen Dead). His mother was actress Joekie Broedelet, known for, among other things, the guest roles she played later in life with Van Kooten and de Bie. They separated when Campert was three years old, after which he lived alternately with one of them and with his grandparents until he was placed with a foster family in 1942.
