Red Fjord swivel chair from the Moroso brand, designed by Patricia Urquiola. Perfection in a broken shell From a piece of seashell, broken and smoothed by the waves, Patricia Urquiola has designed a collection of chairs for both home and public spaces. As the name suggests, there is a strong Scandinavian influence with references to Arne Jacobsen and the inlets of northern coastlines, represented in the long cut-out. Like a natural cycle where the shell is reborn through the effects of time and water, the chair becomes an armchair and then a stool. The broken form and abstract concept together become a design object: flowing lines that support and envelope are picked out in decorative stitching in harmony with the essence of the chair's structure. Swivel chair made of injected flame retardant foam over an internal steel frame. Square base of powder-coated steel.
