This is the Edith (women's) Armchair by designers Arnold Madsen and Henry Schubell for Bovenkamp. A design from the 1960s with the characteristic organic design and beautifully shaped wooden frame. The armchair has largely new internal upholstery and has been re-upholstered in a warm, partly wool furniture fabric. A comfortable and characterful design armchair!
Bovenkamp was a leading furniture manufacturer in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, known for its high-quality, organically shaped wooden Armchairs. A combination of Dutch and Scandinavian design, loved by Mid Century design enthusiasts!
An identical women's model is available in the same, but different (sand) colored fabric. See other listings.
