Original vintage “New York” poster by the French artist Razzia (Gérard Courbouleix-Dénériaz), presumably from ca. 1990.
A typical and particularly striking Razzia design: the New York skyline with the Empire State Building and the characteristic banana, executed against a deep blue background.
The metallic gold-colored details and typography are particularly beautiful. These reflect the light and have a visibly different finish than standard printing ink. In other copies of this edition, the work is described as a silkscreen print.
Framed in a heavy, high-quality gold-colored/brass-colored frame that complements the golden details of the work particularly well.
Condition: vintage condition with signs of use and age. Local wear and some loss of the printing layer are visible at the bottom; this has been clearly photographed. Not restored.
