This is an authentic Trench Art vase, crafted from a brass artillery shell from the First World War. The object is a tangible piece of military history, transformed into a decorative interior piece with a rich historical context. The vase is made from a 60mm caliber brass shell, produced by the Patronenfabrik Karlsruhe in September 1916, as clearly legible on the stamped base. The exterior is finely decorated with hand-engraved floral motifs and a decorative shield, characteristic of the artisanal Trench Art of this period. The interior is finished with black lacquer, and the piece rests on a slightly flared base. The height is approximately 30 centimeters. The object is in good, authentic condition befitting its age and original use. The brass has developed a natural patina that enhances the historical character of the piece.
