A very rare pair of chairs by the Dutch designer Henk Lampe.
These chairs are a fine example of late 1970s Dutch post structuralism/ postmodernism with their blend of formal language and striking playful colouring.
This series of furniture was never taken into mass production, so all pieces are build by the designer himself, making them museum quality pieces. The series was titled the 'plakhoutserie' meaning a series of furniture built from glued slabs of geometric shaped plywood.
We have 4 chairs and the original table avaliable, but have chosen to list the pieces as two sets of chairs and a separate table to accommodate collectors.
Very good original condition. Light honest traces of use. Original paint. Label to the underside of one chair.
