A unique and exceptional find for lovers of Mid-Century Modern and Eastern European design. This is a complete, perfectly coordinated 5-piece set (ensemble) of hand-woven wool kilims. The set was manufactured in the 1970s by the renowned artistic weaving cooperative Spółdzielnia Pracy „Artes” in Gdańsk-Oliwa, Poland (part of the famous Cepelia network). This ensemble is in absolute 'New Old Stock' (NOS) / deadstock condition. The rugs have never been used, have never been laid on the floor, and have been stored for decades. Two of the runners even still feature the original paper factory labels, complete with the original rope and lead seal. This proves the authentic origin, the model name ("Perełka" / Pearl), and the first-class quality status ("Gatunek 1"). Design & Aesthetics The set features a beautiful, minimalist design with horizontal stripes in a refined palette of natural cream, beige, and olive green. Subtly woven into the center are traditional, geometric diamond motifs (the characteristic "spoon" or pętlica patterns) that are so typical of Polish folk art. The thick, hand-spun virgin wool gives the rugs a rich, authentic structure and texture. The ensemble consists of 5 matching pieces: 1× Large Rug / Wall Hanging: 190 cm × 155 cm (Model: Perełka) 4× Matching Runners: Two of which still have the original factory labels and seal. Condition: In unused vintage condition. No signs of wear, no discoloration from sunlight. The wool is very sturdy and still has the original, full structure from the weaving mill. Factory tags are completely intact.
