A beautiful and highly decorative, sculptural Murano bowl with a delicately engraved underwater scene, signed Murano Sirio on the underside.
A unique studio piece from a smaller workshop on Murano, likely made in the late 20th century (c. 1970–1990).
The bowl has an organic, fan-shaped contour and is made of clear crystal glass with a matte, deeply elaborated engraving. The motif depicts an elegant fish among aquatic plants, executed with exceptional detail—a combination of engraving and etching techniques that creates a beautiful contrast between sheen and satin. Under certain light, the bowl takes on a warm, golden glow.
This type of etched Murano crystal was produced in limited editions and was intended for the higher end of decorative glassware. Pieces of this quality rarely come onto the market.
