An extraordinary and museum-quality vintage mid-century modern double-flame Boomerang candlestick, representing a superb masterpiece of fine studio woodworking and direct hand-carving. This sculptural object is meticulously hand-carved from a single block of premium solid wood, displaying highly advanced craftsmanship with no joints, screws, or glued parts. The biomorphic and asymmetric design features an engineered mechanism where the lower hand-sculpted candle plate is fully adjustable and movable, while the upper platform remains fixed. Both candle holders are masterfully integrated with central wooden spikes entirely hand-carved out of the living wood mass. The underside of the base retains its original gallery penciled inventory markings, including serial number 9 and an archival collector letter b with a dot. Exceptionally lightweight at 206 grams, the organic form showcases a fluid, continuous natural wood grain polished to a flawless smooth patina.
