This beautiful vintage vase of fine Chinese porcelain tells an ancient, mystical story and is a true eye-catcher: "The Journey of the Heavenly Tortoise". The vase is decorated all around with a stunning, detailed depiction of the 'Heavenly Tortoise' traveling through the waves. This exclusive piece was released in 1986 by the globally renowned art publisher Franklin Mint and was designed by the respected artist Chien-Ying May. The bottom features the original official stamp, the title of the work, the date, and the fine porcelain mark. The vase was produced in a limited edition at the time, making it a beloved object among collectors of vintage Franklin Mint porcelain and lovers of the 'Chinoiserie' style. The vase is beautifully and finely finished with a subtle hand-painted gold-colored rim at the top and bottom.
