The ensemble shown here is a striking postmodern dining group, consisting of a rectangular dining table with a glass top and six matching chairs. The design follows the typical style of the 1980s, combining transparent materials, metallic accents, and geometric lines. The tabletop consists of a clear, thick-walled glass plate with polished edges and rests on two expressive, column-like table legs made of acrylic glass. These feature vertical grooves, reminiscent of classical column fluting, and rest on stepped base plates, also made of acrylic. The table was manufactured in Rome, Italy, by Fabian Art, a manufacturer known for high-quality acrylic glass furniture, which, with its typical signature, creates a stylish connection between classicist elegance and modern material use. The high-quality craftsmanship is clearly recognizable in the clear edges, brilliant transparency, and accurate connections. The six accompanying chairs pick up on the materiality and design language of the table. Their back legs and backrests consist of curved acrylic elements, elegantly perforated and ornamented in the backrest area.
