An exceptional and rare adjustable invalid bed from the renowned manufacturer Carters (J. & A.) Ltd. of London, a specialist in high-quality medical and hospital furniture during the Late Victorian and Edwardian periods. This elegant bed features its original mahogany frame, mounted on brass casters, and is equipped with the original mechanical swivel system allowing both the backrest and the leg section to be adjusted independently of each other for maximum comfort. The original maker's plate is still present and confirms its authenticity.
