Pair of JH 472 office chairs designed by Hans J. Wegner, manufactured by Johannes Hansen in the 1980s.
Ash frame with teak fittings, original light turquoise fabric seat (likely the Kvadrat Hallingdal/Knoll wool model).
Impressive and generously sized!
Width 65cm / Total height 85cm / Seat height 46cm / Depth 49cm
Very good overall condition: clean fabric, well-padded, with no sagging.
Some signs of wear on the armrests and minor wear to the wood, consistent with age.
This model was presented at the Stockholm Furniture Fair in 1981. Very few examples were produced, and they are rare on the secondhand market. An iconic Scandinavian design, elegant and timeless.
