“Les favoris de la lune” is a recent work by famous Dutch artist Ramon Gieling. The work consists of a tableau of 16 paintings of 30 by 40 cm each. The tableau measures 120 x 160 cm overall.
Ramón Gieling is a director of a large oeuvre of arthouse films including 'Un momento dado' - the famous chronicle of the conquest of Barcelona by Amsterdam's own football legend: Johan Cruijff.
Ramón who was educated at the Art Academy of Arnhem where he worked together with Klaas Gubbels as his assistent. He works and lives in Amsterdam and Spain today. Gieling is a multi talent: an accomplished painter as well as an author of numerous novels and an art magazine.
