A striking set of four original Pyramid chairs designed by Wim Rietveld for Ahrend de Cirkel, manufactured in 1967. Originally created in the early 1960s as part of Rietveld’s innovative school furniture collection, the Pyramid series has since become a true classic of Dutch industrial design. Its distinctive construction, slender metal frame and beautifully simple seat give the chairs a graphic, almost architectural quality. Designed for intensive everyday use, they are remarkably functional and robust, while their minimalist form makes them feel surprisingly contemporary more than half a century later. Finding a matching set of four original examples makes this group particularly appealing – perfect around a dining table, but equally at home in a modern, industrial or eclectic interior. An authentic piece of Dutch design history by Wim Rietveld, son of Gerrit Rietveld, and increasingly sought after by collectors and design enthusiasts.
