Exquisite small Provençal bureau or chest of drawers made in the 19th century in the Louis XV style. This lightweight desk stands on four galvanized legs. The front features a drawer with two handles at the bottom and two smaller drawers at the top, in addition to the fold-down writing tray. The keyholes and hinges are antique iron. This discreet fold-down front houses two small drawers and other compartments typical of a writing desk. A lightweight, practical, and versatile piece of furniture.

It began its development following the principles of the sophisticated and opulent Louis XV style, but adapted to the mansions of the French countryside where the aristocracy, and later the bourgeoisie of the time, sought to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
