Exceptional primitive wooden devotional sculpture, possibly Iberian, attributed to the late Gothic period, circa 15th–16th century.
This highly atmospheric piece features a powerful frontal expression, dramatic aged surfaces, remnants of ancient polychromy, and extensive traces of time throughout the sculpture.
The rear of the sculpture shows remarkable weathered textures and historic restorations, giving the object an almost archaeological presence.
