Product description
This sculptural ceramic vase is a striking example of postmodern design from the late 1980s. It comes from the rare "GEO-ART" Zodiac series and depicts the sign of Aquarius. The design is attributed to porcelain designer Adolf Stepan, who created this series in the context of the renowned Goldscheider/Stoob manufactory (Austria). The piece captivates with its clear, architectural form and geometric reliefs, which show distinct influences of the Memphis design movement and Op Art. The vase is finished in a simple white, which emphasizes the interplay of light and shadow in the reliefs. It is ideally suited as a standalone design object in a modern or vintage-inspired interior. Details: Original "GEO-ART" sticker present on the side. Includes the original, removable plastic insert (this allows it to be used as a flower vase without soiling the ceramic interior). Condition: Good vintage condition. Please note: The piece has minor chips on the edges (caused by impact) as well as factory glaze imperfections from the manufacturing process. Please examine the photos carefully. Dimensions: Height: 21 cm | Width: 8.5 cm | Depth: 6 cm Legal notice: This is a private sale. The sale is final and excludes any warranty, guarantee, or return policy. ________ ENGLISH This sculptural ceramic vase is a striking example of late 1980s Postmodern design.
