A large modernist "Portrait of a Girl" from 1965 by Scandinavian painter Christian Bjørn Larsen. Handwritten and dated in the lower right portion of the image. The image is done in gouache on paper technique, framed in an elegant frame with anti-reflective glass. The presented painting by Larsen is an original hand-painted gouache, as opposed to the reproductions of paintings by this author, which are sometimes offered for sale. On the back of the paintings there is a note on the author and title of the painting (Flicka-Girl) and the technique of execution (Gouache - gouache).Christian (Christer) Bjørn Larsen, born 1931 in Buenos Aires, died 1993, was a Danish-Swedish painter, illustrator and poster artist.Larsen studied at the school of the Association of Craftsmen in Gothenburg, and for Luchow-Nielsen at the School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen and at the Academy of Arts in Stockholm. He has exhibited separately and in group exhibitions in Copenhagen, Odense, Malmö, Sundsvall, at the Riksdag exhibition, at the Danish Embassy and at the invitation of the city of Düsseldorf in Die Brücke. As an illustrator he has created magazine and book covers for various publishing houses in Sweden, Denmark, Germany and the USA, as well as film posters. For Unicef, he designed a series of postcards and calendars, which were mainly portraits of young children. In 1968, he became a member of Unicef's art reproduction committee.
