Piotr Konkel is an artist born in 1963 and comes from Poland. In 1974 he fled to the Netherlands with his mother and sister. In 1980 he started graphic design school in Amsterdam. In 1982 he went to
The Hague to study Graphic Design at the Royal Academy of Art. With oil paint and acrylic on paper, linen and panel, he mainly expresses his childhood in Poland, Catholic upbringing and the love to make the unrecognizable recognizable. He does this by using powerful archetypal images.
