This cylindrical vase is a characteristic design by the Dutch ceramist Pieter Groeneveldt, created during the Mid-Century period. The object distinguishes itself through its robust form and the expressive, textured finish typical of the designer's oeuvre.
The vase is made of ceramic and features a layered glaze technique in earthy tones, with beige and brown predominating. The exterior displays a rough, tree bark-like texture, while the interior is finished with a smoother, light green glaze.
