The F444 armchair, an iconic creation by French designer Pierre Paulin for the Dutch manufacturer Artifort, was designed in 1963. The metal frame bears the authentic Artifort label under the base.
Its cantilevered base, made of black lacquered steel, is complemented by leather pieces forming the seat and back, joined by saddle stitching. While delicate in appearance, this armchair is actually very stable and lightweight. Its shape is not merely aesthetic: it is designed to comfortably fit the body.
A contemporary edition in superb overall condition, the original leather shows some slight signs of wear that add to its character.
