Large format Parisian view representing the Pont Alexandre-III, based on a composition by Pierre Pages dated 1980.
The scene brings together the monumental pylons, the elegant lampposts of the bridge, and the dome of Les Invalides appearing in the perspective. A vivid black line structures the architecture, while tones of grey, sea green, red, and gold give the whole the light and luminous appearance of a watercolor.
This is a color offset print on paper, reproducing a composition by Pierre Pages. The signature and date "PIERRE PAGES. 80" appear in the lower right in the plate. The work is preserved under glass in a large gilded frame.
Frame height: 68 cm
Frame width: 86 cm
Depth: 2 cm
Visible dimensions: 72 × 55 cm
Good apparent condition of the print under glass. The frame shows numerous scratches, abrasions, and several losses of material or gilding, particularly visible in the lower left corner. On the back, the adhesive tape securing the closure is degraded and partially detached; its repair is to be expected.
A large decorative and luminous view of Paris, typical of Pierre Pages' graphic style, particularly suitable for a contemporary interior or a decoration dedicated to urban landscapes.
