For sale: picture frame "Naked Lady" by Paul Laes - signed - perfect condition.
Paul Laes, born November 12, 1947 and died in 2024, studied photo/film at the Higher Saint-Lucas Institute in Schaerbeek. From 1972 he worked as a teacher of applied photography and later photographic art at the Municipal Academy of Visual Arts in Leuven. He also started working as an independent photographer in industrial and architectural photography and later as a portrait and fashion photographer. He also specializes in the photography of works of art.
In his creative photography, he is an adept of "honest" photography that shows subjects as they are. At a first glance, his photographs seem banal, sometimes even boring, but if you look more closely, they captivate because of the tight image structure where the focal points of the format and the gradient of the lines form the basis of the image structure. Each photograph stands alone, showing textures, light incursions and visual rhythms, without being part of a photo series.
