PHILIPS TIMOR 69 DESK LAMP BY LOUIS KALFF (1970–1980) – BROWN & GOLD FINISH
Presenting an iconic piece of mid-century modern design: the Philips Timor 69 desk lamp, conceived by renowned Dutch designer Louis Christiaan Kalff. Manufactured between 1970 and 1980 in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, this lamp exemplifies the fusion of form and function characteristic of the era.

This particular model boasts a distinctive brown and gold color scheme, featuring a UFO-shaped metal lampshade with a central aperture designed to accommodate a mirrored-head (silver crown) E27 bulb. The lamp's conical chrome stem and round base provide both stability and a sleek aesthetic.

PROVENANCE:
These lamps were originally installed in a Belgian municipal office building, where they adorned the desks of a large administrative workspace. We acquired a collection of eight units from this location and currently have four available for sale. In addition to the brown and gold models, we have a unique black variant of the Timor 69 desk lamp. This particular version was a special commission for the same municipal project and was never released to the general market by Philips.
