This is the well-known model Timor 69 or Major by Louis Kalff, but in a rarer gray version.
'Major' refers to the imposing size of this desk or table lamp. This beautiful - now vintage - item was designed in the 1950s, production was mainly in the 1960s.
Originally this lamp was only produced in green and brown (and with a brass rod); this version is therefore offered more often.
This anthracite-gray version was made especially for the Belgian Post and is much rarer.
This desk lamp has an iron base with a built-in switch and a metal chrome rod.
A mirror lamp fits (or should) fit in the lamp, but other light bulbs (E27) also fit. The Philips logo is printed in the base.
The lamp is entirely in its original condition and is in beautiful vintage condition.
Some minimal dents and scratches (see photos) are consistent with age. No disturbing or noticeable anywhere.
Both lamp and switch work 100%.
